THE ASA NELSON GAILEY FAMILY Asa Nelson Gailey was the third and final child of Permelia Jane Tuder and Asa Lomax Gailey. Asa Lomax left for the Civil War before Asa Nelson was born on August 3, 1862. Asa Nelson married Laura Alice Bigham on January 4, 1888 in Eastland County, Texas and the two had five children. The children included Felix (1893), Asa (1897), Luther (1902), Lark (1905), and Walter (1910). Asa Nelson passed away on June 6, 1914 in Tom Green County, Texas.
